Warriors win 7-2 over Caledonia Thunder in first game of Hagersville Tournament
The Warriors put Wednesday's loss far in the rear view mirror on Thursday evening.
A back and forth first period was scoreless until Tyson scored on a breakaway with 2:58 left in the period.
It didn't take long to add to the lead in the second period. Lennon scored 57 seconds in, with assists going to Paige and Caius. Next Tyson scored his second of the game, assisted by Colton.
Near the end of the period, the referee decided to call a penalty shot again Jeryn, and the Caledonia player scored to make it 3-1. Quickly after Caledonia scored, Lennon scored his second of the game, assisted by Aidan.
The third period saw Caledonia score first to bring the score to 4-2, but some hard work forcing the defence by Paige, led to Aylin's first goal of the season in her first game playing forward. Jeryn then scored with 2:51 left with the assist going to Lucius. Finally Jeryn scored an empty net goal with 30 second left to secure the 7-2 victory.
A big shout out to Kam, Jonah, Gina and Logan as well. Despite not getting on the game sheet, they did an awesome job forechecking hard and coming back to help in our end like we discussed before the game.
