Simcoe Success at Vick Jackson Demeyere Chrysler Tournament
The Norfolk Dental Hygiene Simcoe Warriors U9 - Orange team started off their full ice season January 21st at the weekend tournament in Simcoe. The  Vic Jackson Demeyre Chrysler Memorial Tournament.  They played their first three round-robin games on Saturday.  The first game was played against Ingersol Express and our goaltender Adalyn Beck delivered us a shutout winning the game 5-0, player of the game was awarded to Henry Morrison.

The second round robin game was played against Glanbrook Rangers and they skated away with a 7-2 win - our goaltender Mason Martin won player of the game.

They went into their 3rd game with spirits high, the kids played an amazing game and fought hard against the most challenging team they've played against to date, they tied the game 3-3 and Ryerson Shrubsole received player of the game.

They ended the round robin in 2nd place, and faced off against Norwich Nighthawks and defeated them with a 5-2 win, which meant moving onto the finals against the team they had tied in the third round robin game. Ryerson Shrubsole won player of the game.

The Warrior  kids played their hearts out in the final game but ultimately were defeated by St. George Generals 6-1.  Colin Fawbert received player of the game, and Ryerson Shrubsole received Tournament MVP.  Congratulations to St.George on their win, and to The Simcoe Warriors on an amazing 2nd place win.
