Statement from your Boards:
“As you know, we continued to advocate for the need for local arenas and their continued presence as a community fixture. They are part of the local community fabric and contribute immensely to our rural characteristic; respecting that Norfolk exists as a collection of rural communities – each with their own unique characteristics and cherished attributes. Users and community members as a whole benefit from these assets and as such they will continue to be financially supported by both. A proper balance between tax levy and user fee is an appropriate position. The conversation on this however, must start with delivering the service in a fiscally responsible way and at a level the meets user and community needs. We wish to have this conversation first, and we continue to wait for it.”
Sincerely
