Tryout Changes
Submitted By Dustin Carson on Sun 04 21, 19
At our most recent executive meeting, the board of SDMHA decided to make some changes to the tryout format we have used for the past few years. The primary reasoning behind this is that we have been unable to schedule exhibition games in the spring and we feel that evaluating game play is an important factor in team selection.

As such we have amended the Spring portion of the tryouts to include 3 one hour ice sessions. First cuts will be made after the third session. The costs to attend the spring portion of tryouts will be $20/ player.

During the first two weeks of September we will finalize the teams by conducting up to three more tryout sessions at the coaches discretion. There will be an additional $20 per player fee to attend the fall ice times.

Midget and any divisions that meet the AE requirements will conduct fall tryouts after the A teams are finalized per normal.

Spring Tryout Dates are

Novice                May 1, 2019 @ 6pm RCA

                              May 2, 2019 @ 6pm RCA

                              May 7, 2019 @ 6pm RCA

Atom                    May 2, 2019 @ 7pm RCA

                              May 6, 2019 @ 5pm RCA

                              May 7, 2019 @ 7pm RCA

Bantam                April 29, 2019 @ 8pm RCA

                              April 30, 2019 @ 8pm RCA

                              May 7, 2019 @ 8pm RCA

Currently no peewee tryouts are scheduled due to the lack of a Coach. Spring tryouts in the Peewee division will be cancelled if a suitable coach cannot be found before Friday April 26, 2019.
